I thought the video was spot on about privilege. The people with the privilege don't complain because they have the advantage and they don't see that there are other behind them who don't have that privilege. The article gave an interesting example of how privileged people can be in an environment where they aren't privileged. It is a scary situation to be unprivileged and the article described this.

The news story I found was of an under-aged white female who got out of a citation by winning a game of rock, paper, scissors against a police officer. This definitely got me thinking about privilege because there have been so many recent stories about police brutality against African Americans and this girl got out of a serious crime so easily. The girl had no consequences, she was let to go about her day with no punishment. This situation could have played out incredibly different if the under-aged drinker was an African American male. This saddens me to see how people with privilege use their privilege is wrong ways.
Wow what has society come to? The article you found is just so disappointing. She didn't even go to court. Probably people say they are not racist but by the way they act, they show preference towards certain people. The law is supposed to be there to show justice for everyone but this just contradicts it. I agree what you said and how people sometimes use their privilege in wrong ways.
